Pesticide Regulation
The Pesticide Regulation Section enforces Maryland's pesticide laws, approves applicator training, conducts exams, and investigates misuse complaints. -

The Forest Pest Management program protects rural and urban forest tree resources from adverse effects of insects, diseases and other pests. -
Plant Protection & Weed Management
The Plant Protection and Weed Management Section inspects and educates to protect Maryland's plants and honey bees, and leads on plant pest issues. -

The Turf and Seed Section inspects, tests, and certifies seed to ensure high-quality seed for Maryland's seed consumers. -

The State Chemist Section, operating since 1833, regulates pesticides, feeds, fertilizers, and more to protect consumers and ensure product quality.
