Our programs cover everything from beekeeping and mosquito control to nursery inspections, pesticide regulation, and product testing — helping to safeguard Maryland's agriculture, environment, and communities.

The Pesticide Regulation Section enforces Maryland's pesticide laws, approves applicator training, conducts exams, and investigates misuse complaints. -

The State Chemist Section, operating since 1833, regulates pesticides, feeds, fertilizers, and more to protect consumers and ensure product quality.
