Searching disciplinary actions
In the interest of transparency, the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners posts disciplinary actions taken against Maryland veterinarians since 2010 in an online public registry.
You may search by the name of the veterinarian or their license number. If they have had disciplinary action since 2010 there will be a link to "View Disciplinary Actions".
New public disciplinary actions are recorded in the monthly meeting minutes for any public action finalized since the previous meeting.
For actions before 2010 or for veterinarians not currently licensed, please call the Board office at 410-841-5862 or email [email protected].
Annual disciplinary reports
A law adopted in 2020 (HB 549 - PDF) requires the Board to report annually to the Governor and General Assembly on the disciplinary actions it has taken the previous fiscal year.
