Overview
Each of the following courses has been approved as meeting six months of the experience requirement. In order for an individual to be eligible for initial certification they must complete one of the courses titled “Pesticide Use and Safety .” This course will count towards certification in any category. The course selection for satisfying the other six months of required experience will be dependent upon the individuals needs.
If a person wishes to become certified in only one category of pest control, they will have to take “Pesticide Use and Safety” and one other course approved for the category in which they want to become certified. However, if they wish to become certified in more than one category of pest control, they must take “Pesticide Use and Safety” and one course approved for each of the categories in which they want to become certified.
If an applicator is already certified and wishes to add another category(ies) but has no experience, a course approved for the additional category(ies) will suffice for the experience requirement. In this circumstance, the applicator will not need to take “Pesticide Use and Safety” as they have already passed the Core exam.

The approved courses have been listed along with the categories in which they have been approved.
